14 pro-democracy advocates are found guilty in Hong Kong's biggest national security case. The pro-democracy protestors were convicted of "conspiracy to commit subversion" for holding an unofficial primary election in 2020. They were prosecuted under a sweeping National Security Law passed by China in the wake of mass anti-government protests. Beijing says it supports the 14 being found guilty. Policy and Advocacy Coordinator for the Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong Foundation, Frances Hui, joins to share her reaction to these convictions. Hui tells us about China's National Security Law and how it can be leveraged against those in Hong Kong. Hui explains what she thinks these convictions mean for Jimmy Lai's case. ------------ EWTN News Nightly provides the latest news and analysis from a Catholic perspective.
